At DAR we care passionately that everyone who seeks sanctuary in this country deserves to be welcomed, treated with dignity and supported in navigating life in the UK. With around 75 active volunteers involved in mentoring, teaching English, providing guidance, fundraising and campaigning, you can imagine the financial and administrative challenges that presents. That’s why we’re now looking for an experienced Office Manager to work remotely.

What’s involved?

The Office Manager reports to the CEO, is a member of the administrative team
and the primary objectives are:

·       To provide administrative support to the CEO and Executive Team
·       To manage the day-to-day finances of DAR, retaining accurate records
·       To support the bid-writing process, maintaining and providing data as required·

What skills do you need?

Essential
·       Significant experience of administration management, ideally in a stand-alone role
·       Previous experience of dealing with financial accounts and processes
·       Finely honed organisation and process skills
·       Ability to prioritise effectively and work independently
·       Able to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
·       Able to adapt working hours as required
·       Willingness to help others
·       Collaborative and supportive of the organisation’s aims

Desirable

· Previous experience of working within the charity sector
· Understanding of Charity funding and governance matters
· Relevant administration or finance training/qualification
· Lived experience of the immigration and/or asylum system
